Meet the Chef.
Hi! My name is Cody Castiglia and I am a private chef serving Middle Tennessee.
I am rooted in food and hospitality, not just as a career, but as a way of life. I grew up with the constant aroma of garlic and onions slowly sweating in olive oil and permeating the air, promising deliciousness to come.
I am a 3rd-generation chef and restaurateur, having learned the classics of Italian comfort food from my dad and grandmother in a large, loud, loving family where food was the focal point of every gathering.
Upon earning degrees in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management, I honed my skills in high-volume hotels and fine dining restaurants (and even got the chance to cook at the prestigious James Beard House in New York.)
In tune with the Slow Food Movement that started in Torino, Italy, I believe that food is best when it is: made from scratch, from whole ingredients that are carefully sourced from local farms and producers, and shared around the table with loved ones.
I carefully source the finest and freshest ingredients available from the local harvest, resulting in better tasting and better-for-you food that benefits the environment and the local economy.
Here’s what I bring to the table:
17 years of experience in food and beverage, high volume experience and an entrepreneurial creative spirit. My culinary journey has included business ownership, fine-dining, award-winning restaurants, corporate culinary as an Executive Chef for Amazon, high volume catering and hotels.
With my farm-to-table, fine dining catering business, Della Terra, I merged the farms and food of the Northwest with the community, celebrating and serving my guests on the biggest days of their lives, from weddings, to business launches, to milestone birthday parties. We were honored to be selected as the Best Caterer of the region by 425 Magazine from 2022-2024.
As a kid who grew up on 90's country music, I recently realized my dream to move to the Greater Nashville area, and I look forward to bringing the same farm-fresh approach to the incredible community in this region.
